The fifth edition monsoon
carnival started in Wayanad, conducted by The Wayanad Tourism Organisation(WTO). This is South India’s only monsoon carnival named as Wayanad Splash.
Splash was started
five years ago, those days it is only a local celebration in monsoon season.
But now many tourists and travelers come and enjoy the carnival and also the beauty of the season. WTO had to go through a lot of difficulties to convince locals of the potential of the festival; today they get a way into hearts in foreign and faraway shores.

Recent archaeological
findings point to human in-habitation in the rich Wayanad forests from over
3,000 years.
This is a region a treasure of highly protected areas nature, preserved heritage and traditions. This like carnivals and programmes helps a growth of responsible tourism and it also welcomed responsible investors to Wayanad, said a representative of WTO.
